The Government has rolled out a series of key development projects in Faafu Bileiydhoo as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing tour of four atolls.

The initiatives include new healthcare, policing, sports and infrastructure projects aimed at improving essential services and enhancing quality of life for the island’s residents.

Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim inaugurated the construction of an extension to the Bileiydhoo Health Centre, expanding healthcare capacity on the island.

As part of the Government’s commitment to establish police stations in all inhabited islands, Homeland Security and Technology Minister Ali Ihusaan officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bileiydhoo Police Station. The project has been awarded to Fenaka Corporation.

Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu launched the construction of a Fitness and Recreation Centre, while Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib commenced harbour development works on the island.

During the visit, two agreements were signed with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC): one for a road development project valued at MVR 91.20 million with a 720-day completion period, and another for the construction of an outdoor volleyball court worth MVR 1.24 million to be completed in 120 days.
