The Maldivian Government has launched a search for an international consultancy firm to formulate a 20-Year National Development Plan, with proposals due by December 16. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the public consultation process on Nov. 6, aiming to transform the Maldives into a fully developed nation by 2040. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Finance, seeks to create a comprehensive framework for sustainable economic, social, environmental, and urban development.
