Major development plans outlined for Dhiyamigili

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced a range of projects to boost infrastructure and services in Thaa Dhiyamigili.
At the Dhiyamigili community meeting, President Dr Muizzu announced that the water and sewerage system for will soon be completed, with road development scheduled to begin within six months. He also outlined measures to tackle coastal erosion and pledged that 10 new classrooms and a multipurpose hall will be built, enabling A-Level studies on the island by the next academic year.
The President stated that the extension of Dhiyamigili Health Centre, designed to provide modern round-the-clock services, is scheduled for completion next year. He further noted that sports and recreation are being prioritised, with work underway on a fitness and recreation centre, upgrades to the football field including lighting and fencing, and the addition of a new volleyball court.
In addition, President Dr Muizzu inaugurated BML’s latest ATM services, which will allow residents 24-hour access to withdrawals, deposits, transfers and bill payments. The installation forms part of BML’s expansion programme which has already rolled out across 13 atolls.
