President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his condolences following the passing of Ibrahim Ifrah Areef, former goalkeeper of the Maldives national football team, who passed away on Thursday.

In his message, the President conveyed sympathy to Ifrah’s family and to all those who cherish Maldivian football, noting that Ifrah was a beloved figure and a highly skilled player. He also prayed for Ifrah to be granted eternal blessings in Paradise.

Widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers of his era, Ifrah was a member of the Maldives squad that won the 2008 SAFF Championship.
