The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced a public forum titled ‘Hiyaalun Hulhumalé’ to gather community input on three fundamental strategies under the Hulhumalé Master Plan.

HDC said the initiative is aimed at increasing public participation in Hulhumalé’s development and ensuring that future plans reflect the ideas and priorities of residents. The forum will also serve to raise awareness and share updates on ongoing and planned projects.

Discussions will cover three key areas: the social plan, which outlines how the community should be structured; the transport plan, which will guide mobility within Hulhumalé; and the landscape plan, which focuses on greening and environmental initiatives.

The forums are scheduled to begin on 13 October, with online registration now open. The deadline to register is Tuesday, 7 October.

HDC said it aims to incorporate public views at every stage of Hulhumalé’s development to create a more comfortable, sustainable, and inclusive community.

Registration can be completed online.
