President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has nominated two Maldivian diplomats for appointment as Non-Resident Ambassadors, with the names now under consideration in Parliament.

According to a letter sent by the President and read during Thursday’s parliamentary sitting, Maldives Ambassador to India Aishath Azeema has been nominated as Non-Resident Ambassador to Kazakhstan, while Maldives Ambassador to Sri Lanka Masood Imad has been nominated as Non-Resident Ambassador to Mauritius.

The nominations have been forwarded to Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee for review.
