Member of Parliament for the Maamigili Constituency Qasim Ibrahim has praised President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, stating that he has never seen a leader with such sincere intentions and dedication to national development.

He made the remarks while addressing a meeting with residents of Alifu Dhaalu Fenfushi on Monday evening, during the President’s ongoing visit to the atoll. Fenfushi is among the islands that fall under the Maamigili constituency.

Speaking at the event, Qasim said he has witnessed the challenges and dedication involved in initiating the scale of development currently underway in the Maldives. Having worked with many national leaders over the years, he said he has not seen any president who has undertaken so many projects with such sincerity and determination.

"I have not seen any leader demonstrate the same courage, determination, and sincerity that President Dr Muizzu has shown since taking office,” he said.

He added that his remarks were not meant as empty praise but reflected his personal experience and observation of the President’s work.

Qasim Ibrahim, a prominent businessman and public servant, holds the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin (ODRI), one of the nation’s highest state honours. He received the award in recognition of his significant contributions to the Maldivian economy, public welfare, and national governance.
