During his visit to Shaviyani Kan'ditheemu, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu oversaw the commencement of several key development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and public services on the island. Road Development Corporation (RDC) was contracted to upgrade Kan'ditheemu’s roads under an agreement signed by State Minister for Housing Hassan Rasheed and RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem.

The visit also featured the groundbreaking of a new police station, a project awarded to Fenaka Corporation, with the ceremony attended by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, and local council officials. In addition, the groundbreaking of a modern Fitness and Recreation Centre was inaugurated by Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, reflecting the Government’s efforts to promote healthy lifestyles.
