President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured that all Government projects will be implemented with honesty, transparency and accountability.
Speaking at a ceremony to hand over a series of new projects to private sector companies, the President stated that the Government is committed to delivering public services in accordance with legal and regulatory procedures.
President Dr Muizzu revealed that projects across 123 islands have been awarded to 153 companies over the past two days. He said that while delays had previously occurred due to funding constraints, these issues have now been resolved with the support of the Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Bank of Maldives. The President emphasised that all projects were awarded in line with Public Finance Regulations, requiring companies to submit three years of audited financial statements, and that mobilisation will begin within 21 days.
He further highlighted that housing developments and the introduction of air-conditioned classrooms in all schools remain top priorities for the Administration. The President reiterated that every initiative will be carried out professionally and responsibly to ensure that the Government’s pledges to the Maldivian people are fulfilled.
