President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has become the first recipient of the Platinum Souvenir Ticket for the friendly match between the Maldives Under-17 national football team and the Palestinian Under-17 national team.

The ticket was presented to the President by Football Association of Maldives (FAM) President Ahmed Thariq. He also received a commemorative platinum souvenir, with FAM stating that the gesture reflects the President’s continued support for the Palestinian people.

President Dr Muizzu has been vocal on the international stage in advocating for Palestinian rights, and his Administration facilitated the Palestinian Under-17 team’s training camp in the Maldives. The Government is encouraging the public to purchase souvenir tickets for the two friendly matches scheduled for tonight and tomorrow.

Souvenir Platinum tickets are priced at MVR 1,000, while Souvenir Gold tickets are MVR 500. Only 50 Platinum and 200 Gold tickets will be available. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Palestinian Football Association to support efforts to revive and develop football in Palestine.

While souvenir tickets will be sold for fundraising purposes, entry to the stadium seating and stair areas will remain free for all spectators.
