Thousands of people have gathered at Malé’s Artificial Beach as final preparations continue for the People’s National Congress (PNC) party’s highly anticipated “Dhiveheenge Raajje” mega rally.

The event, expected to be the largest political gathering ever organised by a party in the Maldives, is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m., with supporters travelling from across the country to the capital to demonstrate their backing for the current Government.

PNC members and supporters carrying national and party flags have created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Spillover crowds have extended into parts of Majeedhee Magu and Boduthakurufaanu Magu, with the surrounding areas reported to be completely packed as thousands continue to arrive.

President and PNC leader Dr Mohamed Muizzu is expected to address the rally. In his speech, President Dr Muizzu is set to highlight key achievements from the first two years of his presidency and outline the Government’s planned services and priorities for the next three years.

The rally is being described as one of the most prominent and high-profile political events in recent Maldivian history, drawing widespread public attention and significant turnout.
