President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on the public to ensure that all actions remain in line with Islamic values, emphasising the importance of upholding the country’s cultural and religious identity.

In a post on X, the President stressed that the Maldives is a 100 per cent Muslim nation and that citizens should take pride in adhering to the principles of Islam. He urged the public to refrain from engaging in behaviour that conflicts with Islamic culture.

President Dr Muizzu made a special appeal to those working in the film and entertainment industry, reminding them to remain mindful of Islamic limits and to set a positive example for the younger generation.

He stated that guiding future generations in accordance with Islamic values is one of the greatest contributions citizens can make to the nation.
