President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to meet with residents of Mahchangolhi as part of ongoing efforts to gather public views on the development of the Greater Malé Region.
Chief Spokesperson at the President’s Office Heena Waleed announced that the meeting will take place on 25 November 2025 at 8:30 p.m. at Aminiya School. Residents of Mahchangolhi have been invited to attend.
The meeting comes after the President announced on 17 November, during the ‘Rayyithunnaa Eku Kuriah – Hafthaa 104’ ceremony, that he would launch community consultations in the capital region. The discussions aim to gather public input on development priorities and urban planning needs, ensuring that major projects in Malé, Hulhumalé and Villimalé reflect the concerns and expectations of local communities.
President Dr Muizzu met with residents of Villimalé on Sunday night, where he listened to their concerns and outlined several development initiatives planned for the island.
The President has also visited every inhabited island during his term, meeting local councils and community members to discuss infrastructure, services and regional development needs throughout the country.
