Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar convened a meeting today with representatives from ‘Canes Energy’, a Turkish solar energy company, to explore advancements in renewable energy for the Maldives.

The meeting centred on the potential of solar power to revolutionise energy systems across the islands. Discussions focused on tailoring solar energy solutions to meet the unique needs of island communities, with an emphasis on the economic and environmental benefits of shifting to sustainable energy sources.
