The Ministry of Social and Family Development has introduced a new information management system to improve the handling and monitoring of cases submitted to the ministry.

The system has been designed to maintain and present essential information on individuals requiring social support, including those identified through the Ibama Programme and the Haalu Kihineh? Programme. All data will be securely integrated and managed within a single, unified network to ensure coordinated and timely assistance.

According to the ministry, the system allows officials to follow each case in real time, making it easier to monitor progress, categorise clients, and ensure that support services are delivered efficiently. The digital platform is also expected to speed up service delivery and improve coordination across departments.

The database will include information on elderly people, persons with disabilities, and individuals and families identified as vulnerable or in need of social support. The ministry said the system will help ensure that cases are properly documented and monitored, while supporting more timely and effective decision-making.
