A branch of the National Centre for the Holy Quran has been officially opened at the Dhidhdhoo Islamic Centre in Haa Alifu Atoll with an Islamic library. The inauguration was attended by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Dhidhdhoo MP Abdul Latheef Mohamed, and local officials.

The Dhidhdhoo Islamic Centre and the country’s first Islamic library outside Malé were also inaugurated, with the library launched under President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s manifesto pledge to strengthen Islamic institutions nationwide. The project reflects the President’s efforts to develop Islamic education, promote religious learning, and improve community access to Islamic resources across the atolls.
