42 students complete first phase of “Hurnaru Vehi” vocational hub programme

Forty-two students have successfully completed the first two courses conducted under the Hunaru Vehi vocational hub programme, organised by Huravee School under the SCR project of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
The completed courses include National Certificate Level 3 programmes in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, and Fashion Design and Tailoring.
Speaking at the completion ceremony, MACL’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mohamed Mihad, said the programme equips students with essential practical skills that will benefit them in their future careers. He highlighted the importance of introducing vocational education at an early stage, especially in strengthening students’ basic skill sets alongside academic learning.
Huravee School Principal Mohamed Haleem expressed appreciation for MACL’s support in delivering the programme, noting that initiatives such as Hunaru Vehi play an important role in enhancing educational opportunities for students.
As part of its support, MACL provided equipment and technical assistance throughout the programme. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing students from diverse backgrounds and helping them develop skills that prepare them for future employment and career development.
