The Hajj and Umrah Conference, organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, has concluded successfully, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen the quality and coordination of pilgrimage services in the Maldives.

This year marks the second edition of the conference, which serves as a national platform for Hajj and Umrah service providers to discuss challenges, exchange insights, and receive updated guidance from the Ministry.

The event featured panel discussions on crucial topics related to pilgrimage management, including service standards, logistical arrangements, and religious facilitation. The Ministry also delivered detailed presentations on measures being taken to enhance the experience of Maldivian pilgrims.

A special session focused on health considerations for pilgrims before, during, and after Hajj highlighting preventive care, preparedness, and post-travel wellbeing.

More than 100 participants attended, including representatives from Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited, licensed Umrah groups, and the national airline Maldivian. A delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Safwa Foundation also took part, delivering expert sessions and sharing international best practices.

The Ministry stated that the conference plays an essential role in improving coordination among service providers and ensuring that Maldivian pilgrims receive safe, reliable, and high-quality services.
