Applications open for MMTV’s ‘Shifa’un Wa Rahma’ Quran recitation competition

MMTV has opened applications for its Quran recitation competition 'شفاء ورحمة' (Shifa’un Wa Rahma), organised to mark the holy month of Ramadan, with a total prize pool of MVR 500,000.

Now in its second edition, the competition aims to encourage Quran recitation, promote proper Tajweed, and foster a deeper appreciation of the Quran among Maldivians. The initiative also seeks to enhance religious awareness and strengthen spiritual connection during Ramadan.

Participants are required to submit a video recording of their Quran recitation by 4:00 p.m. on 31 January 2026. Submissions must be sent via Telegram to MMTV’s official contact number, 9461115.

The competition will be held across multiple age categories, with the top 10 participants selected from each group. The categories include under four years, four to six years, six to nine years, nine to twelve years, twelve to fifteen years, fifteen to eighteen years, and eighteen years and above.
