The President’s Office has announced that official working hours during the upcoming month of Ramadan, as well as the first seven days of Shawwal, will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the President’s Office confirmed that the arrangement remains unchanged from previous years.

The reduced working hours apply to all Government offices throughout the days of Ramadan this year and will continue for the first seven days of Shawwal.

The President’s Office noted that this policy has been in place since the Islamic year 1443. An earlier announcement formalising the working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal was issued on 6 March 2022.

The decision aims to facilitate public sector operations while accommodating the needs of employees during the holy month.
