The Maldives Police Service has announced that vehicles parked for extended periods near mosques in Hulhumalé will be removed.

Police stated that the measure is intended to ensure easier access to mosque premises and improve parking availability for worshippers, particularly during prayer times. The initiative aims to make surrounding areas more convenient and accessible for those attending prayers.

Authorities have requested owners of vehicles that have been parked for prolonged periods around Hulhumalé mosques to remove them from the area. The Police has urged cooperation in clearing such vehicles to ease congestion and improve safety.

In addition to this operation, police are continuing efforts across the Greater Malé area to remove vehicles that have been left parked for long durations, as well as damaged and abandoned vehicles occupying public roads.
