President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering every Maldivian to build a secure and hopeful future.

In a message shared on his official X account on the occasion of World Day of Social Justice, the President stated that his Administration is investing in education and skills development to enable every Maldivian to build a secure and hopeful future.

He stated that while disparities persist and challenges remain, the Government’s resolve is unwavering. He added that, guided by compassion and shared responsibility, efforts will continue to build a more sustainable future for all.

President Dr Muizzu also expressed solidarity with the global community and reflected on the significance of the day for the Maldives. He stated it is about ensuring that people across the country’s geographically dispersed islands have equitable access to opportunity, dignity and protection.

He noted that the Government remains steadfast in strengthening social protection systems, expanding access to quality healthcare, reliable transport and affordable housing, advancing gender equality, and fostering fair economic opportunities that support decent work.

World Day of Social Justice is observed internationally to promote social justice, including efforts to address poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights and social protection.
