President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended Independence Day greetings to the leadership and people of Estonia.

In a message shared via his official X account, the President conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to Estonian President Alar Karis, Prime Minister Kristen Michal, the government and the people of Estonia on the occasion of their national day.

President Dr Muizzu noted that cooperation and mutual understanding between the Maldives and Estonia have strengthened in recent years, with increased exchanges and engagement in areas of shared interest. He expressed confidence that the two countries would continue to work together to further enhance bilateral ties.

The President also conveyed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the Estonian people.

President Dr Muizzu made a historic visit to Estonia in January 2025, becoming the first Maldivian Head of State to visit the country. The visit resulted in the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding aimed at expanding cooperation between the two nations.
