President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed hosted an Iftar for resident Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives of international organisations on 24 February 2026.

The event brought together members of the diplomatic community for a Ramadan Iftar hosted at the President’s official residence, Mulee’aage, with discussions held in a cordial and informal setting. 

The annual Ramadan engagement with resident diplomatic missions is intended to maintain regular diplomatic contact and reinforce cooperation between the Maldives and its international partners. The occasion also serves as a platform to strengthen ties through cultural and religious observance.
