The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that preparatory work is underway to hand over land plots to recipients under the Binveriyaa housing scheme in Hulhumalé Phase III.

In an update released on Wednesday, the corporation confirmed that efforts are now focused on completing the necessary groundwork, including surveys and boundary demarcation, to facilitate the official land allocation.

These activities are being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.

While the plots were originally allocated by the previous administration from areas that had not yet been reclaimed, the current Government accelerated the reclamation.

The reclamation of Hulhumalé Phase III was officially completed on 25 January 2026, with a total of 63 hectares added to the landmass.

With the draw for the specific plot allocations already finalised, the HDC is now moving to expedite the physical handover to the beneficiaries.
