The Ministry of Defence has announced that eligible youth will have until 5 April to submit their applications for the third batch of the National Service Initial Training programme.
The Ministry said the opportunity is open to all eligible youth interested in joining the Maldives National Service. Applicants must be between 16 and 28 years of age and in good health. Those under the age of 18 may participate only with the consent of their legal guardian.
The three-month training programme is scheduled to commence in the last week of May and will be conducted at the MNDF Composite Training Centre in Lhaviyani Maafilafushi.
Candidates will be selected through a process comprising interviews, an aptitude test, physical screening, and a medical screening. Those selected will receive an allowance from the day they enrol in the programme.
Upon completing the National Service Initial Training, participants will also be offered opportunities for vocational training and employment.
Applications must be submitted by 5 April at 2:00 pm, either by emailing [email protected] or by delivering completed forms to the Ministry of Defence during official working hours.
The National Service Programme is a flagship Government initiative aimed at empowering young people through structured training, education, and civic engagement.
