PNC secures three council and WDC seats in Kendhoo

Elected members of Baa Kendhoo ---

The People’s National Congress (PNC) secured three seats in the Kendhoo Council and three seats in the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) in Saturday’s Local Council elections.

According to official results, Ahmed Saan was elected President of the Kendhoo Council with 454 votes, defeating Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, who received 360 votes. PNC candidate Naila Nizar won the women’s council seat with 444 votes, ahead of MDP candidate Aminath Liusha, who secured 342 votes.

In the WDC elections, PNC candidate Nazeera Ahmed was elected President with 329 votes, defeating MDP candidate Fathimath Shifa, who received 265 votes. The remaining WDC seats were also won by PNC candidates, with Gamariyya Aboobakuru and Nazeera Ali securing victory.
