The Government of Maldives has strongly condemned the Israeli bombing of the Al-Nuseirat Camp in central Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of several innocent civilians.

In the statement, the Maldives described the attack as a grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law, highlighting the urgent need for accountability and an end to such actions.

Expressing deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Maldives attributed the dire situation to the repeated targeting of civilians and essential infrastructure.

The Government emphasised that these actions not only escalate violence but also deepen the suffering of millions in Gaza, exacerbating an already critical situation.

The Maldives called on the international community to take decisive and immediate measures to halt Israel’s aggression, ensure the protection of innocent civilians, and work towards de-escalating the ongoing cycle of violence.

The statement stressed the importance of holding those responsible accountable and implementing effective interventions to prevent further loss of life.

Reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinian people, the Government of Maldives reiterated its unwavering support for their pursuit of justice and statehood.
