Adam Shareef, Thoriq and Dhiyana named Ambassadors At Large

Thoriq Ibrahim, Uza Fathimath Dhiyana Saeed and Adam Shareef Umar

Former Ministers Adam Shareef Umar and Thoriq Ibrahim and former Attorney General Uza Fathimath Dhiyana Saeed have been appointed as Ambassadors at Large under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The appointments were confirmed to MMTV by Chief Government Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Mohamed Hussain Shareef.

The Spokesperson noted that the appointments were made on separate days over the past week.

Adam Shareef Umar previously served as Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works under the Administration of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, while Thoriq Ibrahim served as Minister of Tourism and Environment.

Both individuals resigned from their ministerial positions on 14 April, as part of efforts to facilitate changes aimed at strengthening the Government’s work in line with public expectations. A total of 10 ministers stepped down on the same day.

Uza Dhiyana previously served as Attorney General during the administration of former President Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik.
