Dhamanaveshi --
The Ministry of Health and Family has announced that healthcare services provided through Dhamanaveshi will continue without interruption despite the temporary closure of the facility for renovation works.
In a statement, the ministry said the existing Dhamanaveshi building has been closed to allow for refurbishment and its upgrade into an Urban Primary Health Centre.
From 1 June 2026, all services currently offered at Dhamanaveshi will be provided from three locations in the Greater Malé Area.
The services will be available at the Urban Primary Health Care Centre in Mafannu, the Public Health Unit in Hulhumalé, and designated GP clinics.
The ministry assured the public that the temporary closure will not disrupt access to healthcare services.
Chief Executive Officer of the Malé City Group of Hospitals, Ibrahim Haleem, said the facility has been closed solely to facilitate renovation works.
He added that once the refurbishment is completed, the site will reopen as a fully upgraded Urban Primary Health Centre.
