President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed condolences following the passing of Abdulla Jaleel, who served for many years as the Island Chief of Thuraakunu.

In a message shared on X, the President said Abdulla Jaleel had served the country for more than 46 years. The President noted that the late Abdulla Jaleel served both as Island Chief and Junior Island Chief of Thuraakunu during his years of service.

President Dr Muizzu also stated that Abdulla Jaleel contributed significantly to the development and progress of the island during his tenure and was widely respected and loved by the people of Thuraakunu.
