President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Ali Naseer Gasim as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

The appointment was made in accordance with Article 158(c) of the Constitution and Section 3(3) of the Judicial Service Commission Act.

Uz Ali Naseer Gasim took the oath of office and signed the declaration of membership during a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Thursday. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice Ali Rasheed Hussain.

Following the oath-taking ceremony, President Dr Muizzu formally presented the appointment letter to the new commission member.

The Judicial Service Commission is composed of 10 members and is responsible for matters related to the oversight and administration of the judiciary.
