The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Maldives, Lulzim Pllana, has presented his credentials to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today. Following the ceremony, President Dr Muizzu thanked the Government of Kosovo for the scholarships it has extended and discussed with Ambassador Pllana ways to expand cooperation in education, youth development, tourism, trade and other areas of mutual interest, while reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and achieving tangible, sustainable outcomes.

Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Kosovo were established on 15 April 2009. Before presenting his credentials, Ambassador Pllana was accorded a traditional Haiykolhu procession accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
