The establishment of Muli Airport will enhance healthcare services in the atoll, Ahmed Nazim, Member of Parliament for Dhiggaru Constituency has said.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Muli Airport, MP Nazim stated that this airport will bring ease to facilitate the transporation of patients from the regional hospital established at Muli to Malé. This will bring an end to transferring patients to Male through sea transportation, regardless of the weather conditions. 

He further noted that the airport will also facilitate the transportation of tourists visiting resorts in the atoll, promoting economic growth. 

He also highlighted other development projects planned for Meemu Airport and stated that the ongoing presidential term will be a prosperous five years for the people of Meemu Atoll.
