Maldives Immigration to continue passport services during independence holidays

Maldives Immigration has announced that passport services will remain available throughout the upcoming public holidays marking the 60th anniversary of the country’s independence.

In a statement, the agency confirmed that Maldivian passport services will be provided from immigration offices in the Malé region on Saturday, 26 July, Sunday, 27 July, and Monday, 28 July. During these days, applicants may continue to request 24-hour passports via the Imuga portal.

Individuals over the age of 65, as well as those requiring urgent travel documents due to emergencies, may visit the immigration office between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. on 26 July to apply. On the same day, they will also be issued queue numbers for passport submission.

On 27 and 28 July, senior citizens and emergency applicants may submit their passport applications from 8.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Queue numbers for document submission will be issued on the same day.

Applicants can obtain queue numbers through the QueueBee application or by visiting the immigration office in person.

Maldives Immigration has consistently facilitated access to passport-related services during national holidays to ensure uninterrupted support for the public.
