Asphalt work has commenced on roads in Alifu Dhaalu Maamigili under a road development project being implemented by the Road Development Corporation (RDC). The project, which began in January 2021, has reached 89 per cent completion, with works on cable junctions, settlement pipes, and the ABC layer now finished, while 61 percent of pump stations have been completed. The start of asphalt works was officially inaugurated by Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib, with RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Naseem also in attendance. The project involves the development of six roads spanning 4.89 kilometres, with MVR 95 million spent so far.
