President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is delivering the Presidential Address for 2026 at the first session of Parliament this morning.

Mandated under Article 84 of the Maldivian Constitution, the Presidential Address outlines the state of the nation and sets out the Government’s strategic priorities for the year ahead.

The session at the People’s Majlis is being attended by senior Government officials, the Chief Justice, members of the diplomatic corps and other distinguished guests.

During the address, the President is expected to provide updates on key national sectors and outline policy directions for the coming year.
