President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that one of the Government’s foremost priorities is to ensure that the Maldives Police Service evolves into an institution that produces capable and dedicated officers who serve the nation effectively.

The remarks were made in a message shared to mark the anniversary of the Maldives Police Service.

President Dr Muizzu noted that the day is an occasion to recognise the unwavering service of police officers who work tirelessly, day and night, in the service of the country. He extended his appreciation and gratitude to all officers and their families for their commitment and sacrifice over the years.

The President also highlighted the vital role of the police in maintaining safety and public trust, stating that officers remain a responsible and capable force in ensuring security for both citizens and foreigners in the Maldives.
