Dr Shaheem pledges full support to the Maldives Police Service

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has pledged his full support to the Maldives Police Service during the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Shaheem accentuated the vital role of the Maldives Police Service in maintaining law and order throughout the nation. He praised their impartiality and dedication, describing their work as integral to preserving peace and fostering goodwill in society.

The Minister acknowledged the longstanding collaboration between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and the Maldives Police Service, commending Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau for strengthening this partnership. He credited the Commissioner’s leadership with ensuring a productive and harmonious relationship between the organisations.

Dr Shaheem remarked that the MoU serves to formalise and enhance cooperation between the institutions, enabling them to address shared goals and challenges more effectively. He characterised the agreement as a reflection of mutual dedication to societal harmony and upholding ethical standards.

The MoU was signed by Dr Shaheem on behalf of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and by Commissioner Ali Shujau on behalf of the Maldives Police Service.
