President revises official correspondence numbers for ministries

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has revised the numbers assigned to Government ministries for use in official correspondence, following the recent administrative restructuring.
The changes, issued under a directive by the President’s Office, align with the revised Government framework and updated ministerial mandates.
Under the updated system the new correspondence numbers are as follows:
• Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy – 1139
• Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology – 10
• Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises – 13
• Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Skills Development – 22
• Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare – 23
• Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade – 101
• Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources – 30
• Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments – 142
• Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation – 88
• Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness – 141
• Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage – 473
• Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development – 491
The updated correspondence numbers are intended to standardise official communications across ministries in line with the Government’s revised administrative structure.
