President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Hassan Rasheed as Minister of Defence and National Service.

The appointment ceremony was held at the President’s Office on Wednesday night, where the newly appointed Cabinet Minister was presented his letter of appointment.

Supreme Court Justice Honourable Dr Mohamed Ibrahim administered the oath of office to the Minister, following which he signed the declaration of oath.

The new appointment completes the reconstituted Cabinet with 15 ministerial portfolios.
