MNDF responds to 11 emergencies last week

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has reported 11 emergency incidents across the country over the past week.
According to statistics shared by the MNDF, its Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) responded to 11 incidents between 14 and 20 June. The incidents occurred in Malé and across the southern region of the Maldives.
The reported cases included nine fire incidents, one medical evacuation and one other emergency incident. The highest number of incidents were reported within the Malé Area Command, which recorded eight cases, while three incidents were reported to the Southern Area Command.
The MNDF said its Fire and Rescue Service continues to operate around the clock to protect lives and property from fires and other emergencies.
The service has advised the public to call the emergency hotline 118 in the event of an emergency.
