Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has concluded his trip to China, where he attended the 'Third China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Blue Economy Development Cooperation.'

During his visit, the Vice President delivered addresses at both the forum's opening ceremony and a group meeting between Chinese officials and forum attendees.

He participated in several high-level meetings with Chinese officials, including Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Wang Yong, Chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui, and Chairman of CPPCC Yunnan Provincial Committee Liu Xiaokai.

The Vice President also launched a new information management system called Global Development Project Pool (GDPP) and helped inaugurate a maritime cooperation and training centre for the China-Indian Ocean region during the closing ceremony of the forum.
