President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on elected representatives to serve all citizens equally and sincerely, regardless of political differences.

Speaking during the second episode of the Nation Chat podcast on Thursday night, the President said public officials should work in the interest of all people from the moment they are elected, without discrimination based on political affiliation.

He said differences in political views should not affect the delivery of public services, adding that sincerity from all sides is essential for the country's progress.

The President also criticised actions that, in his view, distract from national development, saying efforts should instead be focused on initiatives that benefit the public.

During the programme, President Dr Muizzu also responded to questions regarding allegations raised by the opposition about the Government's Maldives 2.0 initiative. He outlined the objectives of the project and highlighted ongoing efforts to expand the country's digital economy through the programme.
