Uz Mohamed Firzul Abdulla Khaleel has been appointed as the Managing Director and a Board Member of the Maldives Hajj Corporation, succeeding Mohamed Shakeel following his appointment as a member of the Elections Commission.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced that Firzul's appointment took effect on Wednesday.

Firzul joins the Hajj Corporation after serving at the President's Office, where he most recently held the post of Under Secretary for Presidential Affairs. He also previously served as Under Secretary for Public Policy and was involved in the formulation and implementation of Government policies. He holds a degree in Sharia and Law from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
