An information session was conducted in Inguraidhoo to provide the public with detailed information about fostering as a viable option for children in state custody.
This session was held in alignment with the current Administration's vision to ensure that every child grows up within the protective care of a family.
The session aimed to educate and guide potential foster parents about the requirements and responsibilities associated with fostering. Participants were provided with detailed insights into the fostering process, the support available to foster families, and the essential procedures for monitoring and supporting children after placement.
Beyond fostering, the Government is prioritising efforts to improve conditions for families in need, working closely with them and enabling the reintegration of children with their birth families wherever possible.
