Bank of Maldives (BML) has completed two key environmental projects under its Small Grant Fund initiative, contributing to sustainable development in the Maldives.

The projects include the installation of a fishmeal plant in Haa Dhaal Kumundhoo to convert fish waste into fertilizer, led by the Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (KUREVI), and the conservation of the Bluebowls surf spot reef in Gaaf Dhaal Vaadhoo, undertaken by the Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT).

Part of BML’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, the Small Grant Fund awards MVR 250,000 to NGOs for community-driven projects addressing environmental challenges and fostering sustainability.

BML emphasised the initiative's role in supporting community-led efforts to enhance livelihoods and promote environmental conservation.
