A Saudi Arabian delegation paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President's Office on Monday, with both sides discussing the longstanding relationship between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia and reaffirming their commitment to closer cooperation.

President Dr Muizzu conveyed the Maldives' appreciation for Saudi Arabia's continued support towards the country's socio-economic development, thanking King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Kingdom's longstanding assistance.

The visiting delegation, accompanied by Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, expressed appreciation for the reception extended during the visit, while both sides underscored their shared interest in further strengthening bilateral relations.

Cabinet ministers and senior officials from the President's Office also attended the meeting.
