The Chief Justice of the Maldives Honorable Uz Ahmed Muthasim Adnan has been admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital in Malé following an injury sustained whilst holidaying in Baa Fulhadhoo.

Hospital admission occurred in the early hours of the morning, with the Chief Justice receiving treatment for an abdominal injury that is currently impacting his mobility.

At present, no official bodies have issued formal statements regarding the Chief Justice's medical condition.

The Supreme Court is presently in recess.
