Parliament has approved the appointment of three non-resident ambassadors to represent the Maldives in South Africa, the Czech Republic, Mauritania and Kenya, with all members present voting in favour of the nominations.

The appointments received unanimous support from the 64 Members of Parliament who participated in Tuesday's vote.

Under the approvals, Hala Hameed will serve as the Maldives' non-resident Ambassador to South Africa, while Aminath Abdulla Didi has been appointed non-resident Ambassador to the Czech Republic.

Meanwhile, Ameen Javid Faisal will serve as the Maldives' non-resident Ambassador to both the Republic of Mauritania and Kenya.
